Irritable bowel syndrome is a common intestinal disorder that is characterized by bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramping, and constipation. Typically no abnormalities appear during standard medical testing, and so irritable bowel syndrome is identified by the symptoms. Although irritable bowel syndrome can cause serious discomfort, the intestines are not harmed.
I've had IBS for many many years, but its the first time I've posted on here. I'm having a flare up, I have flatulence which is loud and smelly, went on pretty much all day yesterday. I suffer with constipation. This morning I have woke up with my stomach going into spasm which as we all know is very painful. I've taken my buscopan, and intend to start going wheat free which helps me. I am a carer to my daughter and have been since she was born, she is now 25 years old. I get stressed easily, today Emma goes to her day centre, she gets 2 days a week, thats all she is entitled to, we live in the UK. Getting any help is very hard. She has a lot of things wrong with her, including we went through a heart transplant, she has epilepsy, asmatha, left vocal cord palsy, deaf, to name but a few. I have little help although her dad is here, he doesnt seem to help with her that much. So as you can see I am majorly stressed and my stomach is complaining badly.
Or Lax-A-Day (peg 3350) for your constipation? These are both over the counter items here in Canada that can be helpful in IBS-C.
the only thing is it can give you stomach spasms, I also take movical which is also for constipation
