Irritable bowel syndrome is a common intestinal disorder that is characterized by bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramping, and constipation. Typically no abnormalities appear during standard medical testing, and so irritable bowel syndrome is identified by the symptoms. Although irritable bowel syndrome can cause serious discomfort, the intestines are not harmed.
So I was hospitalized back in November of 2013
For stomach issues. They ruled out chrones but said
I had colitis. I returned to my MD a few days
Ago Bc of really bad stomach pains and constipation for like
A week or more after many attempts of over the counter
Meds not working.... My MD ruled out I wasn't having appendicitis
That now I'm having chronic IBS and gave me
A med called Lenzess once a day. It gives me constant diarrhea. To
The point I can't even hold long enough to make it to the restroom
. Anyone else take this drug. Does the diarrhea get better and turn to normal stools? How are we suppose to work taking this?

I have chronic constipation/ waxes and wanes. After kristalose 2x/daily not helping, I called my GI doc. She started me on Linzess highest dose. 1st week: not impressed. Needed fleets and mag citrate then Linzess. Cleanout worked great...nothing since. :( They do have 2 strengths of Linzess. Are you on the 145 or 290?
