Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Support Group
Irritable bowel syndrome is a common intestinal disorder that is characterized by bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramping, and constipation. Typically no abnormalities appear during standard medical testing, and so irritable bowel syndrome is identified by the symptoms. Although irritable bowel syndrome can cause serious discomfort, the intestines are not harmed.

My medication was switched, and it has been really difficult. I am having a hard time managing my bowel movements. It feels like I have become sensitive to new foods. Has anyone else gone through this?

Yes, i have gone through a couple of changes in meds, Almost nothing has helped the my bowel accidents. The one that helped for a while was a ADHD medication, but now i am back to random accidents.

I am sorry you. I wish for new treatment options.

did not see your reply until now. Thank you for your consideration. Because i am back to random bowel accidents and still have to wear diapers 24/7.

I asked my doctor if I can go back to my prior medication. She switched me back. I am taking the medication as prescribed except when I don't eat due to my depression. I am having extreme bowel accidents and wear a diaper because it just comes out. I wish there was some better ways of treating IBS.
