Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Support Group
Irritable bowel syndrome is a common intestinal disorder that is characterized by bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramping, and constipation. Typically no abnormalities appear during standard medical testing, and so irritable bowel syndrome is identified by the symptoms. Although irritable bowel syndrome can cause serious discomfort, the intestines are not harmed.

I have learned the insoluble fiber makes it worse, not better. Soluble fiber, like bananas, can help if you eat enough of them at one sitting. Also, home-made apple sauce sometimes helps.
Advice: avoid ANY caffeine. It speeds up the entire gut system. No artificial sweeteners.
It is very possible that you are intolerant to several different foods: lactose, gluten and various chemical additives.
I'd be happy to work with you and discuss our problem. PM me if you want or just post on this thread.
I assume you have been tested for, bad bacteria, yeast, parasites ?
Other foods which slow or even stop the runs: white rice (never brown) white bread (not whole wheat), Persimmons. Fried foods like fried chicken, foods high in fat, like steak, fatty pork etc
I know this is not the healthiest diet but it can sometimes slow down the passing of food thought the gut.
I have begun to have some success with my new diet. For the first time since I don't remember, I've had normal B.M.'s. I think it is a combination of several things. Jeez, I hope it continues.
I don't mean to disagree with you but we can have yeast infections without ever consuming any yeast. Besides, the yeast in the bread we eat is killed by the super heat of the oven. Yeast dies when it reaches a temp of 140F and the bread reaches a temp FAR higher than that, about 195-210 F.
I don't mean to be indelicate but some women get vaginal yeast infections and not all of them eat bread or ingest any yeast.
Yeast is in the air all around us. Sourdough bread is made from the naturally occurring yeast in the air. That is why it takes such a long time to create.
