Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Support Group
Irritable bowel syndrome is a common intestinal disorder that is characterized by bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramping, and constipation. Typically no abnormalities appear during standard medical testing, and so irritable bowel syndrome is identified by the symptoms. Although irritable bowel syndrome can cause serious discomfort, the intestines are not harmed.
Right now I take lactulose and metaclopramide every morning.
She said to start drinking and moving more, don't eat much until it gets free again,
She told me take a cupful,of Miralax everyday, I think it works best if drank with something hot.
I am scheduled for another colonoscopy and endoscopy next Tues.
I used Miralax twice yesterday and again today. I also used suppository and enema yesterday and still haven't gone much,
Just try the Miralax twice, drink more liquids and get up and walk around.
Try not to stres out, though it's hard to do,
Gatorade is good mixing with the miralax. Stay on liquids and see if it will help.
- 4 psyllium husk capsules taken with plenty of water (twice a day)
- Ortisan fruit cube at bedtime
- Probio 7 probiotic capsules x 2
Or when all else fails... a glycerol suppository!
I've learned to not argue with my body. When I see that something is giving me issues, I avoid it or I know I will pay this price and it's so difficult to get back on track.
If you can stick with a more simple diet, it's easier to see which foods are causing problems when there is only one change to your diet.
I hope you find your answers soon. Don't give up!
