Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Support Group
Irritable bowel syndrome is a common intestinal disorder that is characterized by bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramping, and constipation. Typically no abnormalities appear during standard medical testing, and so irritable bowel syndrome is identified by the symptoms. Although irritable bowel syndrome can cause serious discomfort, the intestines are not harmed.
I had an anal fissure for awhile.. when it first tore I thought I was dying I was in so much pain so I know where you're at. Try to put some epsom salts in the bath and have a warm bath... try to relax. You'll need to take a stool softner so you don't keep opening your fissure... take this until you feel it healing up... it's important that it heals or you can get an infection. Your doctor will probably give you the cream that goes inside and on the outside to help it heal and prevent infection. For now, you can take Vaseline and try to lather it on the outside only to just help soothe it. Just try to lay down (sitting will be uncomfortable) and try to relax. I would go to the doctor even if you have your period.. (they've seen it all before don't worry). Maybe just wear a tampon to help them tell where the blood is coming from. Just try to keep your body calm and relaxed and get to the doctor asap. You can even go to a walk in or emergency room. Don't worry, it will heal just give it time.
