Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Support Group
Irritable bowel syndrome is a common intestinal disorder that is characterized by bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramping, and constipation. Typically no abnormalities appear during standard medical testing, and so irritable bowel syndrome is identified by the symptoms. Although irritable bowel syndrome can cause serious discomfort, the intestines are not harmed.
Just had a flare this week and could not figure out why I was falling asleep all day and then bam! Now I remember total exhaustion hits with it. Sorry you are feeling crapy. I think sleep and hydrating- I also eat though - small amounts and hydrate as well.
Hope you feel better soon!
Since I am pretty careful and stopped eating wheat - I call a flare when I eat something I should not and this is added to stress and boom- unexpected 'pooplosion' . (As you can see I try to keep a sense of humor) The flare could last a few days or weeks.
Hope this helps
