Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Support Group
Irritable bowel syndrome is a common intestinal disorder that is characterized by bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramping, and constipation. Typically no abnormalities appear during standard medical testing, and so irritable bowel syndrome is identified by the symptoms. Although irritable bowel syndrome can cause serious discomfort, the intestines are not harmed.
I've seen multiple people post that for stomach bloating and gas to try peppermint oil or pills. People have said they work. I bought something called CharcoCaps, for the gas. They do work really well, I've had a doctor give them to me after food poisioning. But they bind to meds, so for me it's hard to find a good time to take them.
Until a few days ago I've gone through 3 years of being nausea, IBS, etc. I always knew that stress was a cause for me. My pdoc, who is also a hospitalalist, told me to up my Klonopin for awhile. He thought that might stop the stress cycle I got into. He was right. I actually feel almost o.k. I even had a small surgery yesterday. I'm tired, but I can't believe how much better I feel physically.
I hope some of this helps you. Sorry your feeling so bad.
