Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Support Group
Irritable bowel syndrome is a common intestinal disorder that is characterized by bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramping, and constipation. Typically no abnormalities appear during standard medical testing, and so irritable bowel syndrome is identified by the symptoms. Although irritable bowel syndrome can cause serious discomfort, the intestines are not harmed.
I was doing Weight watchers and was happy with my results and then my stomach problems got worse so I haven't got back to weigh in! Just need to get this straightened out.
Although I was diagnosed with IBS back in June last year I still feel new to this. I have gastritis also and it runs along ok. Its the IBS that misbehaves now and then.
I don't take any western meds for either. Are you taking any probiotics? They are wonderful for IBS. I also take slippery elm and have recently started taking a herbal liquid from Germany called Iberogast. I take it three times a day with food and it is helping more than anything else to date.
Our diet is a huge part of this and you might want to see a dietician for more help. I didn't with the gastritis as they no so little about it but the dietician helped with the IBS.
Good luck.
