Interstitial Cystitis (IC) Support Group
Interstitial Cystitis (IC) is a urinary bladder disease of unknown cause characterised by pelvic and intense bladder pain, urinary frequency (as often as every 10 minutes), and pain with urination. It is not unusual for patients to experience nocturia and pain with sexual intercourse. IC is also known as painful bladder syndrome (PBS), particularly outside of the USA.
at another IC support site someone said she was diagnosed with vulvodynia. i have never heard of this. i have been complaining for so long about this vaginal pain until i was thinking that it was just me.
in fact i called my doctor today and talked to his nurse....this was before i saw this vulvodynia item. anyway i told her about this pain and that i have had my third instillation and i am better except for the pain in my vagina.
ok i am rambling. my question is has anyone heard of this? and is there any connection to vulodynia and IC?

My urologist said I did not have IC. My family Doc thinks it is possible in the future(like this episode was a precursor). I also have Sjogrens(auto immune) and it could be this is just another moist area, it is attacking. Gets confussing!
