Interstitial Cystitis (IC) Support Group
Interstitial Cystitis (IC) is a urinary bladder disease of unknown cause characterised by pelvic and intense bladder pain, urinary frequency (as often as every 10 minutes), and pain with urination. It is not unusual for patients to experience nocturia and pain with sexual intercourse. IC is also known as painful bladder syndrome (PBS), particularly outside of the USA.

The symptoms can be so similar with UTI and IC.
I have gone on a maintenance antibiotic which
can be controversial to be on an on going antibiotic
b/c you can build up immunities.
I have been taking now for 2 yrs. approx. and have to
say quality of life has been so much better.
My suspicion is there may be bacteria that is not picked
up and there may be low grade infection.
The UK supposedly has better testing for UTI's surprisingly
I have heard.
Best wishes to you.
