Interstitial Cystitis (IC) Support Group
Interstitial Cystitis (IC) is a urinary bladder disease of unknown cause characterised by pelvic and intense bladder pain, urinary frequency (as often as every 10 minutes), and pain with urination. It is not unusual for patients to experience nocturia and pain with sexual intercourse. IC is also known as painful bladder syndrome (PBS), particularly outside of the USA.
I know how frustrationg IC can be. Sometimes, the pain can be so unbearable, we simply feel like there's no hope. Most of us have gone through slumps, but there are people who have recovered from this. We need to make a science of what works for our bodies, which may differ from other people's situations. My only piece of advice is to keep the faith, whatever that is, that you WILL figure this out and learn more about yourself during the arduous process. I've attached some websites that may be helpful. I always find that when I stick to the diet, I'm on the right road. But, it's not that simple. Keep writing to us and keep believing that you will heal.
