i know how strict Indian parents can be coz i'm an Indian girl in relationship with an american man.
But somtimes u have to do what u have to do.If u think he is the one and worth fighting for then go for it because after all they are your parents they will accept you no matter what.
try talking to them and explaining how u feel about this guy.
i hope things will work out for you.
wish you a good luck.
I agree with ladytiger that you can't say they will accept you and get over it. I have watched too many friends lose their families and then the relationship didn't work out.
I'm not saying this to make you sad. You know more than the rest of us if your parents will eventually accept him or if he is worth the relationship.
My husband and I liked each other in high school but were not allowed to date. We started dating after we both completed college. We are approaching seventeen years next month. His parents said they accepted me at the wedding. I'm not sure what their heart really felt, but I know they adore our two sons. I know they love their grandchildren equally.
Good Luck
