It's not about the stares well maybe it is but the stares should be looked at differently. Ive chosen to put on a scale what is she going to get from this. I can't help with thr stares or the hardship she may or not go through as she gets older, but it will help her to be a strong and loving woman one day with nothing but love and support for her brothers and sisters. Id like to think she will get through the stares and the teassing and they will bother her so much that she will not only become a advocate to what so hard her parents faught for but also make her strong enough to recognize love in any shape and form and go after it with no limitations, because at heart she knows that home is a loving place full of color. I hope this helps, I love you!
I remember living in a town when we were walking and had people yell at me to 'Go home Gook!'. If I let them decide my relationship, I wouldn't have three beautiful children to be proud of.
I think you should let her spend more one on one time with your husband. Let her form that strong bond that what others think won't matter to her because she sees you happy.
My daughters got teased when they were little with those sing-songs and words like 'slanty eye' even though they were mixed and looking more like their American father. So even though your daughter may say she's not getting teased, perhaps she is.
The best support system for each other will be the strength of your love for each other. Remember that these people mean nothing when you all come home together.
