Yes why is it that people think we're trashy for dating black men? And I mean blacks and whites alike! I don't think of my boyfriend as a good BLACK man, he is a good man and he is black. No one has any more right to date him because they are his color. Good men are good men.

I am black and i am married to a white man. I've never had any problems with black men dating white women. My husband was the first white man i dated and now we are married. I think you are generalizing things. I don't know any black woman who have a problem w/it either. In fact all my black female friends are married to black men who are good providers and good fathers. I also don't think people are more accepting of black women dating white men.

yeah it seems that way for the most part. i have had some people stop being so close to me when they found out i was with a black guy. I have some black and white female friends who are supportive, met black women who have gotten mad at me and met some who didnt care. I have had black and white guys who didnt careand some that cared.

there are white and black men who are poor providers and ones who are such great men to their women and families. it all depends on the person not what they look like.

i have experienced it all from both sides but i have noticed that black women and white men have been more judgemental. the white women i met who had a problem would just walk away and not say anything to me. no black guy has voiced a disapproval to me or my boyfriend.

but that is just my experience. everyone has somethinbg different.

I have run across that many times, black women getting very upset because a black man is with a white women, seems the two groups who bitch the loudest are the black women and the white men yet I think there are more interracial couples where it is the black women who is with a white man.
Of course not all people have such narrow views. I hope more younger people are coming to realize that the color of the person you love is not important, it is the quality of that persons heart and what they bring to the relationship in the way of support and respect.

It's actually the other way around: It's more accepting for black men to be with white women. It's more common. And I'm not just saying that because I'm a black woman, it's statistically true. As for the rest, you have a right to be angry and a bit bitter. It is all a bunch of nonsense BS, the stereotypes we all get for dating interracially. What we all need to do is eliminate this "us vs. them" otherwise we will fall into the same trap and habits as those who judge us.

who also was black , was ashamed of showing me out in public,with him, he told me in a argument one day, was because i was white, our culture don't mix. and when we did break up, he told me it was because of our culture difference. has this happenned to anyone.

I'm a black woman that has date black guys and white guys. I have caught more flack from SOME black men for dating a different race. Key word is SOME. I could really careless of what they think, but I do think its sad how some people generalize an entire group for a few people's actions. When you generalize, you are no better than the ones you criticize.
