remind your parents that his Allah is also you G-d ... they are he same being. Remind your parents that his religion is as peaceful as any Christian and believe many of the same things, such as fighting to eradicate sin and hate in the world.
I am a Christian, but worked with many Muslims in College at a language learning lab. They encouraged me to buy a Koran, which I did, and read it, and ask them questions, which I did. I then bought one for my church, and encouraged them to do the same.
Are they Christians, no, but neither are Buddhists, and I have never heard a Christian give tirades against them.
Religious texts can all be used in ways that are dangerous. Nazis were Christians ... but we don't like talking about that.... they just used the Bible in very dangerous ways to persecute the people who slained our Lord and Savor.

it is so sad when we want to take a whole group and lump them as bad. We find ourselves doing this with a great deal of groups. I also hate extremist Muslims... they scare me as much as the next person, but we can't let that fear cause us to shy away from all Muslims....
Christians are called to show love to all people, especially those we see as sinners or social outcasts. That's what Jesus would do.
Don't give up, but don't make it so you are torn apart by this struggle. allow love to prevail.

I can relate to this situation as well. Can you tell me if you were able to find a liberal imam willing to marry you both religiously? This is the ongoing struggle we are seeming to have!!

I hope your parents can come to understand the good qualities your fiance has are not mitigated by his faith, and to love him all the way through.

It is egregious that some dislike or even revile or hate Muslims so much. Even if one sees someone's religion as evil, one should not hate the person who has that religion. If anything they should feel badly for them and try to help if they can, and the only way to do that is to first understand their point of view and try to relate in some way to them. I am an atheist and see all religions as mistaken, some more dangerous than others. Obviously there are extremist Muslims. Nonetheless, I would never look down on a Muslim or any religious person for any reason. I respect all. I may feel that they believe something false, but even looking at it from a perspective of trying to deconvert them, how could I reach them if I disdained or hated them? Now, please believe that I am not trying to deconvert anyone. I only use this to make the point that there is absolutely no reason to condescend, shun or even dislike someone based on their beliefs.

It is a wonderful thing that this group can bring people to understanding and loving one another unconditionally. I wish all of you great success in love and life!
