i know you made this post a while ago (but i am new here) and i just wanted to let you know i am in the same position :(
my partner is of a different religion (officially) but he is in reality agnostic. We work very well together and religion is never an issue for us (except for in this situation!). We are not even engaged yet because we are still looking for a solution :( the most i can find is to receive a blessing (but not a marriage) by a priest. so disheartening!
we are now looking to hopefully get a small blessing from my church and just get married somewhere else... but not a lone registry as weve never wanted that! all we can come up with is getting married in the same hall we would celebrate in (unfortunately we cant get married outside, in England you have to be in an actual building or at least be under a permanent structure) and just pay the registrar/priest to be there! not sure if this is possible and very disappointing as ive always wanted to get married in my church, which is beautiful :(
If you come across anything let me know, and i will do the same! ive come across a lot of forums with people with our issue so you are definitely not the only one, and it is a shame the church have done little about this, as a lot of people leave their faith as they feel the church is against them.
i think we need more support in this!
hugs
