As for your question, what should you ask for? How about a referral to a medical doctor who specializes in sleep? Is this (sleep) your biggest issue?
If so, you won't find your answer pills that unnaturally force sleep. Sleep or the lack thereof is only the symptom. If you have secondary insomnia, you've got to find the true underlying medical roots and/or psychiatric issues and treat those.
If you've got primary insomnia (do you know?), then it's likely some combination of bad sleep habits and excessive worry about sleep. Pills will not address either of those.
What else besides taking pills are you doing to help yourself?
