Have you ever felt like you only sleep for a few seconds at a time? There been times when I cant sleep that it would seem that I would drift off and have a "mini- 60 second-dream" only to be awake again. This seems to happen when i try counting backwards to sleep. Is there a term for this and what causes it? I would count backwards in my head and then drift into a dream that feels like a few seconds to a minute and then I pop out of it.
