Insomnia Support Group
Insomnia is a symptom, rather than a disease, and is characterized by inadequate quantity or quality of sleep. I won't say to quit but I would say, its probably time to start looking around to see if you find something better.
Let me tell you my story.
I was young. I was single. I rented a room for $500 per month with utilities included. My ultra stressful job paid just under $12,000 a month. Before I knew it, almost 3yrs had already passed and thats when the symptoms were kicking in and today, here I am... on this board.
I tell myself and family all the time... I'm only 30ish. I wish I had taken things slower. I wish I took the time to go fishing or to travel or something like that. (and now I am, at a much lower wage and I don't ever regret it. Recruiters contact me a few times a week, to try and get me to go back because they need someone like me and it seems so tempting but I already know what I will be doing)
and after all this... I learned that being happy isn't having more money or some status. I'm happy being healthy and seeing my kids and wife smile. I'm happy driving my real cheap $15k Scion and not my $50k Acura. I'm happy having a trout or bass on the end of the line.
anyway, thats my ramble... :)
I agree Galvatron. I'm seeing this first hand. I'm currently looking for a different day job. Nights are too stressful for me.
Personally, i treated my insomnia with nutrition and not meds, which are never my first choice.
