I also relate to you about that good stretch and then an utter collapse. Energy and other things related to sleep aren't a result of an individual nights sleep; it's about consistency throughout a time frame. Sometimes I sleep well for a few nights, maybe even closer to a week and then I go twice as long without sleeping. It's so frustrating because you're just starting to feel kind of like a normal person and not exhausted and then you don't sleep for twice as long. I usually won't fall asleep again untill I feel utterly exhausted(not that I'm not extremely tired the other days). It's just frustrating cause why does your body got to be like that? We shouldn't have to feel so shitty to get one good night of sleep.
But yeah, it sucks going to work like that cause like you said, they don't understand so why bother trying to talk to them about it? Additionally I have to work feeling so tired that my attention to detail, reaction time is slower, how fast I work, etc is negatively impacted. The thing is most people who don't get enough sleep or sleep crappy just caffine or coffee the F up to make it through the day. I don't! I'm going to be going into the field of health and know doing what they do is going to bite them in the ass when they're older. It sucks for me and you and others who don't do that however in the short run cause we have to try to function without sleep or caffeine, sugar, etc.
