Welcome to the Group!
I don't take the exact medication you are on, but I do take a medication in the same class. Generally speaking, this med should lower your heart rate. A lower heart rate would give you a feeling of calm, not anxiety. Often people use meds in this class of drugs before they engage in activities like public speaking to lower their heart rates, and stop that heart pounding in the chest feeling.
Because I do not take your exact med, and I am not a Dr, I might suggest calling your pharmacist or Dr and making sure that anxiety is not some rare side effect of Prazosin. Once certain, then you can let your Dr know you are still suffering from enough anxiety to still keep you from sleeping.
All the best!
