So sorry you have been struggling with insomnia for so long.
Hope you are able to get some good restorative rest soon.
I have Fibromyalgia and it can cause sleep issues as well. That’s when my insomnia started
Cortisol levels too high is instant insomnia ... so right now my goal is to lower cortisol , up my sun exposure and stay off my iPad at night lol...which is funny cuz it’s 11:23 and I’m on my iPad!!!
I have a rule I shut it down to black screen at 7 pm and it’s helpful
Anyways ...you’re certainly not alone ...so so many issues cause insomnia the lists are endless
Blessings
Also, Debrina, you can google the side effects of the name of a medication. Try to get the original paper from the manufacturer. It will have information about how it works in the body, and what the research showed for side effects. I was taking a reflux medication and have terrible insomnia. Then I looked it up, and yep -- insomnia was a side effect. My doctor didn't really believe me and I brought her the printed out "report" from the manufacturer. Some reflux meds do give me insomnia, the others make me tired but I am choosing tired over not sleeping.
