So, my psychiatrist encourages me to research medication on my own, and present my own suggestions for treatment options (he'll usually tweak the dose a bit so I don't fry my liver)...I need suggestions of sleeping pills, natural or artificial, that I could try, because nothing seems to work for me...the one caveat is that he works for a clinic that has a "no controlled substances" clause
Vistaril is a prescription antihistamine that is often used for sedation purposes, and is also used as an anti anxiety med....there's also Trazadone which is a very old tricyclic antidepressant which is now more commonly prescribed for sleep.
