When convenient, could you elaborate a bit or point to a reference on "I did those mental images?" Is that part of CBT? Thanks.
As for the mental images, they aren't really a part of CBT. They are more of a stress management and relaxation technique. I try to purposely do the mental imagery to wind down and forget about the days struggles/inconveniences but also reflect about the days events. The thing is I wasn't even trying to do "mental imagery" on the day I was talking about. I just sat down upright in the couch and it's hard to explain, it just happened and I started falling asleep and that's when I knew it was time to get up and head to the bed.
