In the meantime, if your insomnia becomes too unbearable, you can go to an ER, I believe I went to an ER after not sleeping for 3 days and the doctor there gave me a couple of different things to try to get me some sleep til I could get in to see my doctor.

Definitely don't stay in your bed. Read a book or watch TV or a movie until you feel so tired you just roll over. I know some people say not to look at electronics before bed, but I find falling asleep on the couch sometimes more comforting than my bed sometimes. Less pressure to sleep, I guess. But that's just me. Try reading a book first, if you can. Whatever works for you.
