Changing your wake-up to 7 a.m. from 8 a.m. is no different than adjusting to daylight savings time or traveling to another time zone. People do it all the time.
Some wake-ups during the night are normal, even for the very best sleepers. Your wake-ups may have something to do with allowing too much time for sleep. If you allow more than your mind-body needs, then you may have more of these wake-ups. If they become a problem, try only allowing 8 hours in bed and see what happens.
