If that is affirmative, wondering about your experience with CBT. Do you still use those methods? You know they need to be actually used to work.
Prioritizing healthy sleep became a lifestyle for me, because I am prone to insomnia. I learned CBT methods years ago and basically work them every day. Meaning do not let insomnia control me. I control it. And I have to stay on top of it. Every day.
I try to not let myself be controlled by those recurring negative sleep thoughts. Consistency in sleep schedule. Manage stress. Exercise, get sunlight, etc. Basically, CBT teaches you healthy sleep habits. Are you still doing this?
A sleep doc put me on one of the Z drugs 10 years ago and said you will be taking these for the rest of your life. As everyone knows, this is not an answer. You become tolerant to the drugs and require higher and higher doses to maintain any kind of sleep at all. Thus, I am searching for not pharma opportunities.
My take is you are doing the right thing by not being fixated by sleep, or the lack thereof. Putting negative energy into that would no doubt just make it worse.
Good luck to you.
