You might try dropping the cigs in the early a.m. if you can, that is a stimulant that will make it harder to sleep. And if you feel you must have coffee, maybe try decaf?
Another option if you feel you really must do something after only 4 hours of sleep -- try in-bed relaxation methods. There are many ways to do this. But it might just help you feel drowsy, and then more refreshing sleep will come.
