Second, what you experienced could possibly be symptoms of sleep deprivation. Hard to say. If you are concerned and this and it continues to be a problem, then yes a visit to your doc is in order.
But if you only have had insomnia for a month and now feel like you are under control, you likely do not have what's known as chronic insomnia. That bodes well for you. Some of us in this group have had insomnia for years, even decades.

Usually, and especially at your age, sleeping issues resolve on their own. That's what you can expect too. It's important for you to lead a healthy sleep supportive lifestyle to get your sleep back on track.
This includes keeping a regular sleep schedule, in particular a consistent wake-up time every day, as much as possible. If you let yourself sleep in one day, you pay the price the next night.
Try to schedule some good exercise every day.
Stay busy with work and/or school, and keep an active supportive social life. Basically, tire yourself out every day and you will tend to sleep better at night.
