Last night was my first horrible sleep night in a while. I know why it happened but it doesn't make me happier about it. I have so much to do for school right now so I kept telling me that I'd myself I'd quit working on school work by a certain time but I just kept on going, then my brother called me on skype, we talked a while , and then while I was on the computer I started thinking about classes next semester. I didn't end up going to ved till almost 2 A.m and it ended up being shit sleep. Feel pretty groggy and have a bad headache today.
Kind of frustrating, I think I'm doing good by seeing a therapist and all that but I really suspect one of sleep issues is called delayed sleep phase syndrome. I really do work well at night and I feel like normal people probably do in the day time. Now I'm back into the routine of go to bed 12-2 a.m and get up at 9-10:30 or so A.M. It's sad but because I've been more relax about going to bed late and I don't think it's a coincidence that I've been sleeping better. Right now is not the time to try getting back to normal people hours either because I have way to much work and stress in my life. So this kind of sucks. I still need to make an appointment sometime with my primary care physician this week and do what my therapist said to do.
I really just hope the stress, anxiety, and possible other disorders I have are resolved to make my life better. I also hope its strong enough to comebat the delayed sleep phase syndrome that I may have. Maybe untill I'm older I wil always have a slower clock than most people but hopefully I either don't have delayed sleep phase syndrome like I think I do, OR I will sleep better than I was because the all the mental issues or what the doctor finds will be taken care of . But man if I have the delayed sleep phase syndrome then it is flat out a bitch cause it's rooted biologically.
I think I remember trying to go to bed earlier a long time ago as part of the cure for it and it's awful, you're exhausted but can't sleep or get rewarded for doing everything simply because your body says this isn't the right time. Oh well, like I said hopefully taking care of the mental issues and whatever the doc finds will help me sleep somewhat ok hours. Don't know when I'll try getting back into normal sleep people hours, it's never a good time especially when you're finally sleeping and right now is an awful time to begin because if I don't do well in my classes then I might as well throw my thousands of dollars on the street. 12 credit hours is still full time but in the past I've taken 18-19 credit hours but had less work to do than this semester. But got to find time to make that appointment, I get so wrapped up with the jackass workload I have this semester.

Don't worry, I think once you find the right medication to help you sleep everything will improve. Insomnia has this domino effect on your body, then your mind, emotions, stress level, all that. Once your sleep is under control you won't feel as overwhelmed.

I also kinda productive at night, and I always was like that. I am an owl for sure...which is in scientific area is called-delayed sleep phase. Do not push yourself to go to bed earlier. Go and take meds when you really tired. All doctors advises are based on theoretical assumptions about a sleep. Theoretically, you should be able to move your sleep cycle back to earlier hours. In reality, it is realizable only if you live in paradise or something...no stress, no worries, no deadlines, no distraction. Try to develop a habit to go to sleep a little earlier and stick to it. But, do not make an obsession about it...just 5-10 minutes earlier than usual.
