I can tell you that instead of taking benzos, just take a supplement called L-glutamin. What's the difference? Benzos are drugs that force your Brain and body to produce GABA. Glutamin gives your brain and body the fuel it requires to produce GABA.
My Pysch did not Monitor my levels and my PCP said that the benzo would not produce the drop. With that being said. My psych did not agree with me in the beginning but later in his reply we've got to rule it out. and he told me to stop it after 2.5 yrs or so because I am on low dosage I should be fine, but I'll taper off just in case. I still worry about my on going insomnia. I may be quick to judge but at least I know I have something to go on.
