Just beware of an unhealthy dependency.
During this period of time I was in incredible pain. This caused me to have negative feelings such as depression which led to me not wanting to see anyone or making new friends/etc. Over the years I fixed(or at least the best I can) the physical pain but I become socially isolated and ignored emotions and feelings and things of that nature. You can't really teach yourself how to make up socialization/other skills that you lost for years in a day or two. It's not going to be easy but I think I know exactly what happened/is going on and it's just going to take a lot of time. The other really simple things that are seeming to help me are to stop caring about things I have no control over. I used to get incredibly frustrated to the point that it was detrimental.
