As far as the delayed sleep phase syndrome goes, some is in my control and some isn't. I need to get back to trying to go to bed early and getting up early. Based on the results that's when a decision will have to be made. If I am actually following a sleep and wake schedule and not sleeping well and its not getting better with time then I will either A) need to find a job/school that will work around my desired hours or B) I will move out of state to somewhere later.
Overall i'm going to take things a day at a time and keep it simple. Like my therapist said, my 2 goals before March 26 are to start exercising and work on the hygene issues. Lukily for me this couldn't have came at a better time. I'm on Spring break for a week starting Friday so I won't have to add these changes with school in the equation. The vicious implication however is that(he didn't say I had to but I know this is the only way) I'm going to have to workout really early, BEFORE school. Over the break I'm going to to write myself a schedule and stick to it. Honestly I'm pretty prepared to be sleepless or have little sleep some nights because my rhythm is off. Luckily I have fun stuff to look forward to on the break: Wendover, hiking with a friend, working out again, and fishing. Hopefully by me understanding why I'm not able to sleep well will power me through the day if that happens.
So yes, taking care of yourself is important, how you relate to others is important, how you fit into the world is important.
Sounds like you are making progress. Keep up the good work.
