hi everyone,



so i just need to get it out. My fiancé and I were in a long distance relationship and we got engaged last November. About two weeks ago I found out he had an ongoing physical and emotional relationship with another woman and it lasted about two months. She actually ended it the day before I moved to be with him. Oh yeah! I forgot that little tidbit. I actually left my family,my job,  my friends and entire support system to move to a city in the middle of Texas where I know absolutely no one. Two weeks after we get here, I find the text messages. When she told him she wanted to end it. He said " I regret the circumstances but I don't regret what happened between us" about the cheating. He also denied me and said I was just his girlfriend and I wasn't moving to Texas with him. So here I am. In this city and the semester just started. He seemed remorseful, blamed it on his childhood and someone showing him attention. He's in counseling now. I'm resentful that it took him destroying my life to come to the realization that he wanted to not be a piece of crap human being. I am so lost and resentful and I have no where to go. I gave up everything. How long does it take to stop being so mad? And what do I do with the dress?

dear azababba, Turn back the other way, no matter how much work/time is involved. Put your 'resentment' energy to better use for yourself. He's not committed!!! Chances are/were, he lied to the other person as well. You dont need that in your life. As for the dress, return/sell/donate/re-gift.... That should be the least of your worries. If you are in school, focus/finish that semester and get back to where life was the best for you. Re-Commit to yourself and who's really important in your day to day well being and life!!!

welcome to the website. Most all here have had someone 'do the dirty' to us as well, so pls. dont feel isolated at all. Put your negative emotions to better use and LEARN from the experience. I wouldn't feel sorry for yourself nor for him!! He seems like a big 'JOKER' and you dont want to continue being the brunt of HIS JOKES!!!

"I regret the circumstances but I don't regret what happened between us." This is a common feeling/statement from someone still in the fog of a recent affair. He will probably feel differently after more time passes. That said, do what you need to do for yourself (move back or stay in school but not with him, especially not right now).
