Infidelity Support Group
Any relationship in which one partner engages willfully in sexual relations with another outside of the partnership is considered to have experienced infidelity. This breach of trust is often traumatizing for the faithful partner as well as the relationship, and support is often needed to heal emotionally and to decide whether or not the relationship should continue after...
At 7 months I recall still being very mistrustful even though she was open and accountable with everything. A bit over a year and I still wonder like you do but it isn't as strong since she hasn't given me any further reason to doubt it.
What helps me is the internal understanding that the second chance for her is the last chance. Simply I will continue on and pursue reconciliation from my end and if she fails then I will just end it and move on.
I'm really trying hard to trust her. She deleted snap chat and deactivated her facebook months ago. I deleted the AP number in her phone without her knowing months ago, maybe to test her see if she said something about it. She hasn't so idk.. have access to both her emails and her phone haven't seen anything. I think maybe I'm overreacting and only hurting myself. I did say if she does it again she will regret it before we started back together. I'm just wondering how long it takes for this feeling to go away. She wanted to go visit her best friend in Seattle and I told her I wasn't comfortable with that. She got mad at first but understood and got over it. We're getting along like we did when we first dated. As in doing more things. Just us and with our daughter. She tells everyone things are better than ever and I feel like they are but not the trust. I travel mon-Thur 3 weeks a month she stays with our girl I know she's home. She is suppose to go an hour out of town for a bachelorette party and I'm not comfortable with it this Thursday. Especially if she stays there, first time away since it happened if she does. Should I be feeling different or am I over thinking giving me anxiety ?
A night of debauchery at a bachelorette party would probably be worrisome for obvious reasons, but dinner with some old female friends I know doesn't bother me.
When she goes out I just admit to myself that I don't think she is doing anything sketchy but I don't have any control over her actions. If her actions are to be betray me again, then it is my decision to leave her.
It will be her actions that ended the marriage and family. It will be her who put her son in a broken family. I know that I will be better off without her.
You need to let go of what you cannot control, and just make sure your decisions are above board. We are in the same situation, cheating wives that are trying to earn trust back. If they do then the new marriage thrives, if they don't the new marriage ends for good.
You need to make sure counseling isn't just a tool to get you to stay, but something your spouse craves to have true personal growth. That's the only way you increase in terms of a sense of safety...knowing she is going in that positive direction of his/her own volition.
