Unfaithful: Stories of Betrayal

Today there is a marathon of the TV show "Unfaithful: Stories of Betrayal" on the Oprah network. In these shows there are real people supposedly spilling their guts about the affairs that they had and how it screwed up there relationships, and in many instances, how they were able to save their marriages.

To me these shows seems to be just so much el toro poo poo.

My question is this... Has anyone else out there seen this program before, and what is your assessment of it? Also, Do the story lines seem realistic?

I started watching a couple times. Just couldn't hold my interest. I'm ADD though so I have a hard time sitting through some things.
It all seemed fake or something.

it looked interesting to me before i came to discover i was living my own version of the show.....now it just pisses me off lol

I have watched the show several times. I guess we don't really know if they are just actors or not, but even so the situations they are in could very well happen. Sometimes I can watch and sometimes it is too painful. Watching the women cry when they find out about their H is pretty heartbreaking to me:(

I've seen a few episodes but only preA. Seems realistic enough to me. Look at all of us here with our stories, proof that anything is possible.

Don't think I could watch the show anymore. I can't even watch some old episodes of my favorite tv show (Friends). The ones where Ross cheats on Rachel, it kills me now. That episode actually was on within the first few days of DD.

I saw the same marathon yesterday too. I think they're real - after what i found out about my husband of 10 years, of his four affairs (and that's what I know about), I now know that anything's possible. Also, some of the conversation from the individuals are ironically very similar to my story. Of the stress of life/baby causing an emotional distance, my husband seeking both his physical and emotional needs elsewhere, and him finding a way to justify his behavior as OK. In some ways watching the show is hard, in others therapeutic b/c i feel less alone.

Yeah, I found it to be a bit therapeutic as well. I don't know why, but is does, make me feel better to know there are a lot of screwed up people in this world.
