I am far from perfect by any means. Life on life's terms really sucks sometimes & I have no patience or empathy for anyone who takes advantage of another person in such a way that it purposefully hurts them or defiles their character. We all screw up & God willing we learn from our mistakes. I know I have. As human beings we struggle through life sometimes a second @ a time.
I lost my sanity when my Husband cheated on me. I lost every value that was inbedded into me since childhood. Life stopped. I couldn't eat, sleep or function as a valued member of society let alone have enough energy to clean my house or do laundry. I got maybe 4 hours of sleep every night & stopped caring about anything & everything in my life. I drank wine like it was water & smoked 2 pks of cigarettes every day. I didn't eat. I was slowly killing myself & I didn't even care. Dying seemed like my only option. Sad, isn't it?
Guess what? All I could think about was how much I realized how much I really did love him. I didn't want to grow old all alone. I couldn't fathom celebrating Christmas w/out him. When he told me he loved this OW I swallowed a handful of sleeping pills w/ a bottle of wine and laid in a tub full of bubbles & waited for my pain to go away. Stupid!!!!!! I couldn't do a damned thing except try to escape my pain. I'm glad I didn't die today. He told me it would have killed him. I believe it. He said he never knew I loved him that much. Listen you guys, don't ever take anything for granted again. Make his favorite dinner, fix yourself up & be grateful you have TODAY because who knows what tomorrow will bring. To Thine Own Self be True.
I love you all & you are worth more than you can imagine.

I'm still trying to get over finding out about my husband's long term affair......... it was the most painful thing that I have ever experienced...all of the same reactions.... I still have a permanent pain in my heart and I feel sick to my stomach whenever I think about the affair....... but it was a giant wake up call for both of us... we both realized how much we loved each other and after so many years as a married couple had taken it all for granted....

I agree with jrsygrl13. 2 months ago I found about about H's affair. It is the worst pain I have ever had. Wouldn't wish it on anyone. Since then, my H and I have talked an awful lot and discovered that we really do love each other. Trying to work things out. OW is the one who tried to overdose on pills. I am too strong for that. It was a wake up call for me to find myself and to start getting what I want. I do want to spend my old age with this man, been married 20 years. At first, I just took life a day at a time, couldn't even see tomorrow. Things are better but still have a difficult road ahead of us. Good luck, nanayaya! Thanks for the encouragement.

I was the one that stepped out on my husband thinking that the grass was greener on the other side..I had a 3 month affair..But , in the end it was me that put a stop to it.because I was sick and tired of covering one lie up after another..I was the one tha told my husband everything..and I was prepared for worse case senerio... all Hell broke loose when I told him..and for 7yrs after that - he followed my every move, called me from work 10 =20 x a day..Drove me insane..BUT after sever alyrs of counselling we stuck it out together owrked it out and are happy we stayed together..that was 19yrs ago......Life goes on..
