Revenge feels good for a while, but the repercussions aren't worth it. Not to mention what it does to you as a person.
But we all know the feelings and desires to do so. That is normal and natural.
The best advise I got was hearing the old cliche from Blindsided:
If You Seek Revenge, Dig Two Graves!
Whenever I think about wanting revenge or to cause someone else pain, I remember that statement. I also think that if Blind can practice what he preaches (after what he went through), then I should be able to do the same! I then self-soothe myself and think of pleasant thoughts!
Constantly focusing on revenge is like drinking poison and expecting someone else to die!
I think it boils down to whether you think someone can hurt you again. In Osama's case, yeah, we wanted revenge and we got revenge. But on the practical side, there was a pretty good chance that if we didn't remove him from the planet he would try something else.
In your case, sounds like the photo might be pretty good insurance that the OW can be kept at bay assuming you care about that. If you were looking at reconciling, an option would be to show her all the pictures and make it clear that if she ever turns up again that all of them will be plastered on telephone poles around town and enclosed as Christmas cards to her friends, coworkers, and relatives. Might give her an idea that sniffing around hubby is not worth the risk.
Of course, that doesn't mean you can't make their life a little harder :)
The photo - thats just her lack of morals and values. Who sends that sort of photo to a married dude?
she needs help.
the karma train will come for her though - she purchased that ticket the day she started to engage with your H - that is a ticket that must be collected - there is no getting away from that train. its norefundable.
