I saw the ow today! I have seen her in the car but not face to face. When does the urge to bash in her face leave. She hurried up and looked away. I am very proud that I just kept laughing with my daughter like she wasn't there. Of course it is prob because my daughter was there. And my daughter also just kept walking. A small victory for us! But when husband came home I had so much rage and now that is all I have thought of! I don't want their selfishness to have control of me.

It's ok to be angry afterward. We own our feelings, though, they don't own us, and you proved that by ignoring the OW. Channel that anger into a project and it's an all around win. :)

It's easier to get to a state of "meh" with the OW. The sad truth is that she doesn't owe you anything. She didn't walk down the isle with you (however many years ago) and promise to be faithful. I'm sure she's not a nice human being, but she's not worth your time and effort getting annoyed at.

Achieving a state of indifference is what the goal is here. The opposite of love is NOT hate. Remember that. Hate implies passion. The opposite of love is indifference (or as the chumplady says "meh"). Get to the state of meh for the OW and live your life to the fullest. That is the best revenge!

I agree with neverceases.I'm at the point now where the OW was the person who happened to be there at that time. It could've been anyone so there's nothing particularly special about her. Maybe I gave her more importance than she deserved in the beginning, but she was more of a threat then and kept trying to keep a foot in the door.

You're right. My experience of cheats is that it could definitely be anyone. The "OP" could be ..... a knothole for all some of them care.

I understand, I could probably choke the life out of the ow, and for good reason, they knew he was married. In today's world where the fight over what the word marriage means I think it is important to understand that a married person made a vow and therefore, when you meet a married person, they should be treated accordingly. I blame all the parties, it takes two to tango, and to suggest that the other woman could have been anybody is to suggest it could be you or me, and let me tell you something, I would NEVER, could NEVER be the OW! You did great avoiding them, but remember, your pain does not diminish you, it only diminishes them, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

The reason for the dislike of the aw is that she pretended to be my friend. And after the fact she went to a place where she knew my children were. Most of my anger is toward my cs. He did this too me.

I've never seen ow either. I'm past the point of wanting to choke her. So if and when the meeting ever takes place ill be able to handle it.
