My 'soon to be' wife and I have gone through a pattern of full on love to her throwing up a wall because I would not be as open with our affection. She's always been very flirtatious and I was ok with that. During one of our difficult stretches she developed an inappropriate relationship with one of her old male friends. Setting up dates, sending pictures. I caught her and confronted her. She apologized but when i asked her if she was going to cut that relationship moving forward she said it was complicated because her kids were friends with him. From what I saw, she was the one initiating and he was just being a friend. But the fact she took it to that level, I couldn't handle. I was cheated on very badly on by my first wife and she should know that it would be difficult on me. In the end the relationship will end because of that along with other stuff.

I tried to move forward and keep the relationship but my mind kept going to dark places and in the end my mood swings were too much for me not to get angry and very emotional.

Was I so off-base in demanding it to end?
