Infidelity Support Group
Any relationship in which one partner engages willfully in sexual relations with another outside of the partnership is considered to have experienced infidelity. This breach of trust is often traumatizing for the faithful partner as well as the relationship, and support is often needed to heal emotionally and to decide whether or not the relationship should continue after...
So yes, this is a big deal and you are right to be upset. Will he stop cold turkey? Sorry, but I don't think he will without help. My husband would never get help so stirring up a hornets nest would do me no good. he won't leave. One day I will probebly have to get the balls to tell him I want out. Probebly when our son is out of the house. (He is 13>)
Good luck and keep looking for help. You will find it.

Why he did it? Believe me, no reason will make any sense save one. I know, I've tried with my wife. Bottom line: they were tempted, their passions did the thinking, and they allowed it to happen. Especially in your husband's case. I've dealt with Internet porn addiction myself. Never went to contacting anyone to chat or anything like that, in large part because I feared if I ever did, I wouldn't be able to control it. But I know of the urge to look, and the temptation is there to think about hooking up with a live person.
But no matter the circumstance, the only reason is they were not strong enough in their character, morals, and/or spiritual life to say "No" to temptation. Most any other explanation is going to boil down to blame shifting.
