It's been a little more than a week since D-Day. Found out while we were staying in a hotel. Took her to a show for here birthday. There had been a gut wrenching feeling, for a few weeks, that something was happening. Checked here phone and sure enough. She had a thing, I don't even know what to call it, with someone online. No physical contact. Pictures and texts we're sent over the course of 2 days, not constantly only late at night while me and our children slept. At the time this happened it was only two months before we were supposed to be married. You can imagine my devastation. I immediately told her the wedding was off and she begged me not to and wanted to save the relationship. I told her no, but have since cooled down and have reconsidered staying to save our relationship. I've considered leaving for a while just to show some sort of consequence. She has struggled with mental issues for a while so perhaps a cause for her actions can be found there. By no means am I making excuses for her behavior. This is her fault this happened. Unfortunately, this is also not the first time. Happened 4 years ago with a co worker. Nothing physical again. Although I think it was going to eventually. I followed my gut, pretty much as soon as I felt something. Much faster than with the current issue. I guess I didn't want to believe it this time given the wedding and all. I don't have anyone to talk to about any of this so sorry for the long post.
First off, serial cheaters, are just that and the likelihood of change is horribly low. She also has mental health issues which makes her even less likely of being able to sustain healthy relationships in general.
She is not marriage/relationship material and you need to protect yourself and your children from her. She has no intention and may not even be capable of keeping her vows....which she hasn't even made yet.
Staying with a cheating boyfriend/girlfriend is a poor decision, marrying a serial cheater is much worse. You are all but guaranteed to have a disaster of a marriage.
I understand you have kids with her, which complicates things. Make sure your financial assets are protected.
