I agree that it is the hardest thing to go through. I am having a hard time forgiving and trusting but I am working on it. I am not sure my H and I will ever get back together but I am working on me. I am owning the mistakes I made for the breakdown of my marriage and that is all I can do. I am only responsible for me and I cant make him do what he doesnt want to do.
Thanks so much for making me think about this, I needed that today.
It's been two years since my H & I reunited after the affair. Sometimes I get through the day simply minute by minute. If you really love you H & want to make your marriage work you can if you are both willing to do the footwork. Believe me it's very hard work. There have been times I wanted to just quit and wallow in my own self pity & make him pay forever for my pain. The truth is everyone is human & makes mistakes- I know I have. I hope it works out for you if that is really what you want.
I wish for more stories like your's
I've posted this truth before but fits here too, Jesus said "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also". Basically the treasure is where do you spend your time? If you spend it with another person, then your heart will wane toward your spouse and will grow more fond of the 3rd party. However, if you maintain your time with your spouse your heart will follow, your love will grow.
