I was not going to define that day as a negative and give his actions and the painful past define that day for the rest if my life. Year two was my turning point. We had a wonderful family day and I di tell him that I needed to redefine it. My H was helpful in letting me create a great dsy and he helped fulfill it.
My dday was memorial day weekend. I took it back and so can you. It's the day you were released from the dark shadows of his lies and brought into the light. Yes there has been pain and difficulties but I can bet you are a much stronger and wiser woman today because of dday. Not because of his actions but because of having the truth and being given a chance to work through it rather then kept in the dark.
So take your dsy and your power back from the actions and pain of the past. Redefine dday and make it yours.
