Yup, I have. You can find deleted texts as well, so don't worry.

The SIM card is the MEMORY of the phone. If you have that, you are holding oodles of information- erased or not.

You can purchase a SIM card reader off of the internet I know for sure. I think they run about $100. You insert the card into the reader and plug it into your computer and all messages, even if they were deleted, will show up.

I asked my H about it, and of course, he said it could't be done. I called some computer store, and they said they don't sell the sim card readers, and that you couldn't retrieve texts. So now I'm confused!

Actually BlackBerry in Canada use SIM cards, so I just order a card to see the old messages. Most US Carriers do not use SIM cards from what I know. If it works, I'll post a message.

Yeah, I tried to get the sim card out of my old H's phone and I couldn't find it. Maybe it's inside the actual phone. I pulled out the battery but there was no compartment on there to get the sim card out. Oh well. I guess I know what was on there already. I just wanted to make sure he didn't do anything new since DDay.

Every cell phone at this point has a SIM card especially blackberry's. Different models would have it in different spots. If you can't find it try it under the battery, or look closer, sometimes you can only see the the edge of it and need to push it down for the SIM card to be released from its spot.

I'm surprised to hear that text messages would leave an inprint on the SIM card, as they're not really saved to memory unless user specifically chooses to. At&t though does have a great on-line option for their accounts where you can see where the txt messages are coming from.

Just as an aside, I did find that deleted emails do stay on IPhones even after deleted. On the main screen, if you touch and scroll right, you will get a black screen with a place at the top to type something in and hit search. This searches the entire IPhone, and will bring up every email sent and received that fits the criteria, even deleted. I had an idea what the OW's address was, so I typed it in what I know and wow. I got it all! You can type in parts of what you know, you don't need to know the actual address of the person, or you can type in words that might be in the emails too. I saw all the naked pictures she sent, and all the cutesy emails. When I confronted him, I told him I used an online service to retrieve them, as not to give away my secret so I could keep checking back. It was painful, but there was no room for denial on his part. I had seen it all in black and white. I hope that helps some of you too!
