You've committed to rebuilding. So now you have to "Fake it 'till you make it." And just like you find time for the gym, you need to find time to work on rebuilding - whether that is with a counselor or a little get-away for two, quiet dinner for two, or something else.
Rather than focusing on the "anger," I think you should give some thought to what it means to "forgive." Forgiveness isn't about absolving the other person for their transgressions, and it definitely isn't about forgetting those transgressions. Forgiveness is about YOU. It's about not allowing the past to control YOUR future.
