Infidelity Support Group
Any relationship in which one partner engages willfully in sexual relations with another outside of the partnership is considered to have experienced infidelity. This breach of trust is often traumatizing for the faithful partner as well as the relationship, and support is often needed to heal emotionally and to decide whether or not the relationship should continue after...
You clearly have thrust issues because of the cheating. weather or not ur ex is sincere (She probably is and is just a really good person) i think you need some personal therapy and couples therapy after. That would be a good start. If ur ex is truly forgiving and ur doubt her intentions that's no good start. Good luck to you
One - do you love your wife and does she love you? Are you willing to try to make it work for the sake of your daughter and also the promises you both made to each other? This takes time, lots of it, and help from a counselor. Are you willing to go through that to save your marriage?
Two- what are your intentions with the ex girlfriend? Why did you feel the need to quickly go to her? Was she the one who got away, the person you've thought of while being married to your wife? Or is she just a rebound? Someone you know will upset your wife if you got together with her?
From my perspective, it seems to me the fact that you're questioning if your ex gf is a rebound, means she probably is and you may be doing this to get back at your wife for her affair. I would also question why it is you feel you NEED to be with someone, when really, you would most likely benefit from being on your own for awhile to deal with the heartache your wife left you with in a healthy manner. It is likely you do not trust your ex girlfriend because of what your wife did to you, so you need to take time to heal.
In the end, your problems aren't yours alone. They are also your daughter's. Please keep her in mind when making decisions, as children are sponges and absorb all their parents do.
