Seriously, I think that's just something trumped up for the media to make him more interesting.
Ever see the movie "Hall Pass?" Same thing. Anybody "can" cheat if they want to. It's dealing with the consequences.
Kind of like dieting. I don't do that. I never say this or that is off my menu. I just eat what I want in moderation. As soon as I say, "None of this," that's when I obsessively want it.
Hey, if it works for them, so be it. But I think it's nonsense for me. A marriage isn't a game.
If you allow someone to do something - perhaps they won't want to really do it.
If this is in the NBA or whatever they live in a different world - sort of like what you see on the cover of People magazine - most folks should be Concentrating on helping out each other and their families.
Trying to better their situation - not trying to screw up everyones lives for some fun and excitment that in the end could get you a disease and ruin all that you have worked hard for - unless you havn't worked hard that is - then it's easier to screw up your life and throw everything away for some stupid action I suppose.
I personally would not agree to give my partner a pass to be with anyone, but hey..if it works for them then I hope it continues to keep them happy & content with one another. It's their right. I just hope she knows what she may be agreeing to. Hope it doesn't backfire.
Her best friend from before they met, a woman he got involved with briefly when they had first met, has a child of just the right age who looks exactly like the kids they had together. That was a pass, for sure. She knew all about it and just let it slide.
I suspect the worst of this for her was not that be cheated, or that it was with me, but that we failed to let her keep bet head in the sand. We failed at discretion, is all. It was fine as long as it wasn't in her face.
having been with someone whose goal was to be in the halls of political power, I made it very clear I wasnt going to be one of those wives who looks the other way, I could only ever imagine doing that if I married for money or status and not for love
I dont have the heart to withstand it, without feeling damage done to me on some level
