So I saw what I genuinely thought was the epihany- he started saying and doing all the things he should have a long time ago. I held out a small glimmer of hope. Remorse, transparency, seeking out reading to learn how to help repair, etc.

I started to feel a level of trust, but did not trust myself that it could be true. For the first time, I peeked at his phone. Trust but verify- right? There it was- the AP calls him and they talk for 4 mins. He never deleted her number or block her number. You do not take a call when it comes in if it is really over, right? No- it gets better. He changed her name of whats app to a man's name hoping I would not see that it is her number!!! That is a whole new low.

I confront him and he waffles- I tell him- if it was just her calling and you told her to stay away- then prove it- pick up the phone, put it on speaker, and tell her to never call you again and to stay away. Yes, it was 6 am, but she would have picked up the phone for him at 3am in her deperate attempt to get him back. HE REFUSED TO DO IT.

His behavior is so typical. You sit there and wonder just how dumb, dumb is.

My H did make "the call" on speaker but he never deleted her number. I went ahead and blocked her on his phone.

They want to be married and they want to cheat, too. Tell him he has to make a choice (or you will).

Classic and straight out of the cheater's handbook. I am so sorry! This is precisely why we trust but verify. And the majority of cheaters when caught just take things further underground. If they don't truly want to change and do the hard work (which VERY few do) then they just keep scamming you.

I was getting over him and ready to move on, and he could see it and made the last desperate attempt to keep me hooked in- this time seemed more sincere, but another fraud move. Pretty pathetic too- making her into a guy to disguise the number- that is a new level of disgusting. I am mad at myself that I even thought there was a chance. He is mad that he got caught and acting all pissy and ready to move out and move on. Last week he said- I hope you snoop so you can see that I have nothing to hide- well, I finally did and now I think he is pissed I looked at his phone. The audacity of the classic narcissist.

NO MORE chances, no epiphanies, no more engaging in conversation- he is a total fraud and souless.

I left my career to support him and did not work in my profession for 8 years and I’m having a difficult time finding decent work so yes I was very dependent on him. I will be able to separate and survive but I did want to have work in place before I broke away- but I can’t live like this for another day and will just have to survive and pray.

While I think the legal system is pretty prejudice against men in terms of settlements of divorce/custody.......in the case I would suggest you take full advantage and get custody, child support, house, and alimony.

Your husband is a terrible person and deserves more than the court system can dish out.

refurb- as much as that hurts to hear- you are totally right. He is a con-man incapable of genuine love. I am very much ready to extricate him from my life. My only wish is that I did not have to see him ever again, but we have a child in common so I am stuck seeing the bastard for another 9 years.

He refused to do it because something is still going on. Trust me he will find another way to communicate. The more he get caught the better he get at hiding it from u. The world of technology!!! If he agree to do it a couple of days later he probably called her and told her that he will call while you're on speaker phone. Don't fall for it. Typical man!!!

Dude, we are the same person. I made my husband bring me to meet one of his "emotional affair partners" and we would jointly tell her their relationship was OVER. In this meeting I started telling her about his full blown affair with another woman. He freaked out and said "EILEEN (the woman we were talking to) is my friend and she is going to remain my friend!" I said ok, then please call my attorney. Later than night he is all apologetic and texts her saying not to contact him again, he wants to save his marriage. Flash forward we are fighting about something else, to make me feel better without even asking he calls her in front of me to tell me that "their relationship is completely and entirely OVER!". a week later? I see on his phone that he has called her. According to him, he had to say a nicer goodbye just 'one more time;' SICK SICK SICK!
